Gil Carrillo
Gil Carrillo is an Indigenous Latino American retired homicide lieutenant from LASD. He stands 6 ft 4 in (193 cm) tall and weighing over 300 lb (136 kg). Carillo wears size 17 8E shoes. Gil is a veteran investigator with more than 38 years of law enforcement experience and direct involvement in over 800 homicide investigations, delivered a powerful and insightful presentation on the Night Stalker case. Serving as co-lead detective alongside legendary investigator Frank Salerno, Lt. Carrillo described how he was the first to recognize a disturbing pattern linking seemingly random home invasions, sexual assaults, and murders across Southern California. Despite early skepticism from some senior colleagues who were reluctant to connect the crimes to a single perpetrator, Carrillo’s persistence and attention to detail proved critical.
